For many of our networks, monetization is what makes running a community possible. Until now, Honeycommb has focused on subscription payments because of the power of recurring revenue. With Paid Events, we’re expanding beyond subscriptions to support one-time payments—unlocking new ways to earn and opening the door to even more monetization opportunities ahead.

We’ve updated the Honeycommb platform to better reflect the future of how communities earn revenue. The Subscriptions section has been renamed to Monetization, creating a more flexible foundation for supporting more than just recurring subscriptions.

This change prepares Honeycommb for single-payment monetization, such as paid events and one-time purchases, while keeping everything you already rely on exactly where you expect it.

New: Transactions

The new Transactions table gives network admins a centralized view of every payment across their network—including in-progress, failed, refunded, and completed transactions.

This table mirrors the activity in your connected Stripe account, but makes it easy to review payment activity directly inside Honeycommb, without needing to switch tools or log into Stripe.

For deeper insight, each transaction can be opened in a dedicated detail drawer, providing expanded payment information in a clean, focused view—keeping the table easy to scan while still giving admins access to the details when they need them.

This update is a major step forward in Honeycommb’s monetization roadmap. By expanding beyond subscriptions, introducing single payments, and centralizing transaction visibility, we’ve built the infrastructure needed to support many more ways for communities to earn revenue. We’re excited to have this foundation in place so we can continue rolling out new monetization features—like additional paid experiences and flexible purchase options—while keeping everything simple, transparent, and fully integrated for network owners.
